Specifications

GENERAL:

A device which seals common acid shipping containers and prevents acid fumes from escaping, while allowing the liquid to be removed via a common diaphragm or peristaltic pump through 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2" tubing. The VAPORSHIELD-PRO will prevent an internal vacuum and collapse of the sealed container. The VAPORSHIELD-PRO shall prevent the release of any acid vapors. The unit shall be fully assembled and ready for installation and not require any assembly other than drilling out the container cap or plug, screwing in the unit and adjusting the tube to fit various container sizes.

MATERIALS:

The VAPORSHIELD-PRO body shall be constructed entirely from schedule 80, CPVC with a custom polypropylene tube fitting and factory-installed fluoroelastermer (Viton) sealant on all threaded connections. The proprietary check valve body shall be CPVS. The check ball shall be nylon and spring hastelloy-coated titanium. The tube fitting shall be fitted with a Viton O-ring and nylon keeper ring. No metaliic parts are to be included.

INSTALLATION FITTINGS/TUBING:

The VAPORSHIELD-PRO shall be fitted with a 3/4" male NPT threaded fitting to allow for the installation into any common five (5) to fifty-two (52) gallon chemical shipping container cap and or plug. A special drum plug spanner wrench accompanies every unit. This allows for ease of tightening and removing the plug so that it can be moved to another container easily. The unit shall be supplied with fifteen (15) feet of 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2" polyethylene tubing which will fit most industry chemical feed pumps. (pump not included).
